Gina Carano out as Cara Dune

Sup to all my fellow Jedi and Sith. About an hour ago (10pm EST) Lucasfilms announced that Gina Carano is no longer employed at Lucas Films and that they have no plans to work with her in the future. Carano has made several statements on her twitter page that the folks over at Star Wars cannot condone.
While she did an excellent job as Cara Dune on the Mandalorian, Lucasfilms was quite clear as to why she was no longer an employee, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Carano has made some statements that were anti-semetic, she made anti masks statements, fed into voter fraud conspiracies, and was recently under fire for transphobic remarks when questioned about pronouns. Some fans of Cara Dune out there don’t agree with her firing. They feel as though freedom of speech isn’t being respected. I’m not here to offer an opinion, only tell the truth. The US Government didn’t fire Carano, Lucasfilm did. Which is their right as a company to remove anybody that doesn’t represent their brand. Oh well, good bye Ms Carano. Hope your right to tweet was worth that bag.

Will Carano apologize? Will she pull a Nick Cannon and take the time to get educated and return to the role? Or will she double down and flip Mando and Grogu the saber? Let us know and as always, thanks for stopping by the Nerd’s List.

Update: Carano was going to have her own spin off show announced at the Disney Investors meeting but her tweets from November shut that all down. This news comes to us via a recent report from the Hollywood Reporter. Again Gina, we really hope that sweet sweet Star Wars money was worth it homie. You could have been on a lunch box.
