Cliff Booth is back — and Hollywood has never looked this dangerous. Netflix just dropped a brand-new full trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, and if you thought the stuntman hung up his boots after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, think again. Brad Pitt is back in the role, and this time Cliff isn't doubling for anyone — he's cleaning up Hollywood's messes himself.
The new film picks up in 1977, eight years after the events of Tarantino's 2019 love letter to old Hollywood. The Manson-era fairy tale is over. The Hollywood of 1977 is a different beast entirely, and Cliff has traded stunt work for a new gig: studio fixer. Murder, blackmail, theft, extortion — when a scandal threatens to spill into the headlines, Cliff is the guy the studios call to make it disappear. And judging by this trailer, he is exactly the kind of guy you want handling that kind of trouble.
What makes this one such a dream project is the creative team behind it. Quentin Tarantino created the character and wrote the screenplay, while David Fincher takes the director's chair — bringing his own razor-sharp filmmaking style to the sun-bleached, neon-lit streets of 1970s Los Angeles. It's a pairing that sounds too good to be true: Tarantino's dialogue and love of Hollywood history filtered through Fincher's meticulous, shadowy eye. And the Fincher-Pitt reunion alone is worth the price of admission — the duo previously gave us Se7en, Fight Club, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
The supporting cast is stacked, too. The trailer showcases Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Peter Weller, with Timothy Olyphant returning as Western actor James Stacy. This is shaping up to be less of a sunny Hollywood fairy tale and more of a dive into the ugly business that happens when the cameras stop rolling — and honestly, that sounds even better.
Mark your calendars: Netflix is giving the film a two-week exclusive run in IMAX theaters starting November 25, 2026, before it hits streaming on December 23, 2026. That's a Thanksgiving-week IMAX trip and a Christmas-week couch session — the best of both worlds.
Cliff Booth went from stunt double to Hollywood's shadow janitor, and we cannot wait to see what kind of trouble he gets into this time. Watch the trailer, grab your popcorn, and get ready — 1977 is calling.
