Clear your calendar, nerds — Apple is about to go full loot-drop mode. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via MacRumors), Apple is lining up new product releases on four consecutive Fridays, with the big unveiling expected this week on Tuesday, October 27 or Wednesday, October 28. If the reporting holds, your wallet is in real danger.
Here's the rundown of the release gauntlet:
- Friday, October 23 — iPhone Duo. The next iPhone hits shelves just five days from now.
- Friday, October 30 — HomePod mini 2. Apple's tiny smart speaker gets its long-awaited refresh.
- Friday, November 6 — the big one. MacBook Pro models with OLED displays, 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac models packing the new M6 chip, and/or an iPad mini 8 with an OLED display are reportedly on deck.
- Friday, November 13 — the smart home finale. The new HomeView hub and the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) land together.
Let's talk about November 6 for a second, because OLED MacBook Pros have been the dream for years. MacRumors already had OLED panels on the iPad Pro, and now the rumor mill says the Mac is finally getting the same treatment — inky blacks, wild contrast, and battery-friendly pixels on Apple's pro laptops. Paired with the M6 chip, these could be the biggest Mac upgrades in years. (Important: the November 6 lineup is reported, not confirmed — Gurman says "likely," so treat it as a very strong rumor.)
Then there's HomeView, Apple's brand-new smart home hub with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and Siri AI built in. Apple already announced it earlier this month — it recognizes your face to switch from a shared household screen to your personal experience. Combined with the HomePod mini 2 and the new Apple TV 4K, Apple is making a serious play for every room in your house.
And don't sleep on the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) — MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris uncovered an image file for the unreleased model back in September, and the render shows the same external design as the current box. So this one's less about a makeover and more about what's cooking under the hood.
Four Fridays. Four waves of hardware. Whatever your platform allegiance, this is shaping up to be one of the busiest holiday tech seasons in recent memory. We'll be covering every announcement as it lands — so keep those wallets (and wishlists) ready.
