"Guy’s life is about to change forever." He’s a bank teller called Guy who starts realizing he’s a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. His daily routine is getting more and more repetitive, the same customers every day, the same conversations, the same jokes... people barely even notice him anymore. He feels like his life has become meaningless.
Guy then decides to get out of this town and go find work in another city, where he meets a diner waitress called Caroline who tells him that she can get him in. Guy’s life suddenly takes a drastic turn when he’s able to do what he’s always wanted to do, and things start looking up for him. A little later he finds out that Caroline has been kidnapped by the Kingpin, the ‘villain’ of Free City. Now Guy must help bring down this villain before the game goes offline.
Free Guy is a first-person video game adventure where you play as Guy and work for The Kingpin as part of an attempt to bring down the villain. You’re trying to use your newfound connection with The Kingpin to find Caroline and uncover some of his secrets.
