Ghost of Tsushima movie gets director

DOSHO!!!! Konichiwa y’all. Just droppin a quick update that Sony is developing Sucker Punch’s smash hit of 2020, Ghost of Tsushima. Little was revealed about the movie other than they tapped Chad Stahelski of John Wick fame, to direct. For those who haven’t played it yet, Ghosts of Tsushima is a fictional tale of the Mongol invasion of Tsushima Island in the 1500s. Players take on the role of samurai warrior Jin Sakai and as he defends Tsushima from the foreign invaders by balancing old traditions and principles with newer less honorable methods of war waging. Ghost of Tsushima was released July 17, 2020. It wwas made by Sucker Punch studios and produced by Sony. Since it’s release, it has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide. The news doesn’t come as a shock to fans of the game as it was lauded at it’s release for excellent storytelling, gameplay and acting. Fans praise actor Daisuke Tsuji for his portrayal of the main character Jin Sakai. It would be nothing less than monumental if they decide to let him reprise his role for the live action sequel. If not, my vote goes to Tak Sakaguchi for his portrayal of Myamoto Musashi in Crazy Samurai: 400 vs 1, which premiered February 12, 2021 on the Amazon Prime streaming network. If you like choreographed fight movies, that is your film. Are you on board with a movie version of Ghost of Tsushima? Did you play it? Who would you cast for what role?
