Wonder Man possible debut on WandaVision?

Will Wandavision introduce Wonder Man? CBR seems to think so. Monday, the first of February, CBR released a video discussing a theory points to that they seem to think so. Comic fans recognize Wonder Man aka Simon Williams is brother to the Grim Reaper aka Eric Williams. If you know, you know. Baron Zemo gave Simon Williams his power.

I won’t break Wonder Man’s connection to Tony Stark too much. Williams inherited his Dad’s munitions company after he died. Stark Industries was one of the world’s leading munitions contractors. This was terrible for Williams Innovations’ bottom line. Eric gave his brother Simon some real crappy advice to embezzle the company’s hemorrhaging money and he got caught and went to prison. Blaming Tony for everything, Simon makes a deal with the Enchantress to bail him out of jail and he would join the Avengers as a double agent, to get his revenge on Iron Man.
Zemo gives him chemical radiation treatments that granted Simon his ability to harness and manipulate “Ionic Energy”. This gave Simon superhuman strength, speed, durability, and the ability to fly through the use of a rocket pack that Zemo outfitted him with. It was Wonder Man’s strength that got him noticed by the Avengers. It’s the type of strength that’s equivalent to Thor. Will this be the exact MCU origin? Time will tell.
Anyway, Disney/Marvel had plans to debut Wonder Man in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.  James Gunn explained that he wanted Wonder Man to cameo. He was played by Nathan Fillion (Captain Mal from Firefly and Serenity). Gunn said that adding the Wonder Man easter egg slowed down the pace of the movie so it ultimately got scrapped. That still hasn’t stopped folks from finding easter eggs that may allude to his MCU debut.
There are a few but one of the most noticed reference to Wonder Man is from his brother. In the first episode of WandaVision during the theme song where the camera pans down to the basement, within the floor you can see the mask of the Grim Reaper. If Wonder Man does show up, there’s a good chance it would be on this show because the Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man do have a romance. At some point in the comics, She, Vision, and Wonder Man are a thruple! Anyway, It’s fun to think about if we do get to see Simon Williams debut.
The connection Vision has with Wonder Man is pretty epic too however I encourage you to read the comics to find out more about it. You guys think this is how they’ll bring him out this way? If not, where would you introduce Wonder Man? Do you think he’ll end up in Doctor Strange 2 or Thor 4? Let us know in the comments and as always, thanks for stopping by the Nerd’s List.
